Before Use
WARNING: Always adhere to all safety advice and instructions for any power tool used in
conjunction with this product.
Operation
WARNING: Never hold the jig by hand when drilling; it must be fixed securely to a suitable
workbench. Failure to do so could damage the tool and/or cause serious personal injury.
IMPORTANT: Always practise on a scrap piece of wood before making a pocket hole in the
workpiece.
Note: Ideally, the drill tip should emerge close to the middle of the material being drilled.
Note: Screws should go into the edge grain or the face grain, not the end grain, for a more
secure joint (Image I).
1. Determine the thickness of the wood where the pocket hole will be created
2. Use the Collar Setting Indicator (3) to determine the position of the Depth Collar (6) on the
Step Drill Bit (9) (See Images B - E). Tighten with the Hex Key (7) when in position
Note: Measure from the start of the step on the Step ped Drill Bit to the end of the Collar
Setting Indicator (Image A).
3. Rotate the Thickness Plate (2) in position to the corresponding wood thickness (See
Images B - E)
4. Open the Clamp Handle (1), and position the workpiece between the jig and work bench
(Image F)
5. Raise the Clamp (4) to the underside of the work surface until tight, and lower the Clamp
Handle (Image G)
IMPORTANT: Ensure the Clamp, Jig and workpiece are securely fixed in place.
6. Attach the Step Drill Bit into the drill
7. Place the Step Drill Bit into the Drill Guide (5). Begin drilling and continue until the Depth
Collar makes contact with the jig (Image H)
8. Remove the Step Drill Bit and raise the Clamp Handle to release the workpiece
9. Repeat to create the required number of holes and finish using the Self-tapping Screws
(11) and the Wooden Plugs (10)
