Drill a hole 40 mm in dia-
meter in the pipe.
→
Position the oblong
internal polarising slot
opposite the flow direction.
→
Align 2 of the 4 external
polarizing slots (a < 3°) in
the axis of the pipe.
→
Weld around the entire cir-
cumference of the fusion
spigot.

Drill a hole 45 mm in dia-
meter in the pipe.
→
Thread to G 1 1/2''.
→
Screw on the spigot until it
reaches length L (see Table
12) corresponding to the
DN of the pipe so that the K
factors given in Table 9 are
respected.
→
Use an appropriate sealing
material (PTFE tape, for
example).
→
When L is reached, slightly
unscrew or continue to
screw until 2 of the 4 pola-
rising slots are aligned in
the axis of the pipe and the
oblong internal polarising
slot is positioned opposite
the flow direction.
