use and warnings on the packaging as well as the
following instructions carefully before using the
product. Keep the instructions in a safe place for
further reference.
General Information:
• Always play this game together with your pet.
• You can playfully feed your pet e.g. with fruit or sun-
flower seeds. This gives your pet some exercise and
turns snacking into an exciting experience.
• Select a location to play where your pet feels comfor-
table and will not be disturbed by the surroundings.
Try to avoid staring at your pet, as this can make your
pet feel restricted.
• To start with, use food which is especially attractive
for your pet in order to motivate it.
• Help your pet with the task to keep it motivated. It is
important that your pet is successful quickly – espe-
cially early on – so that it connects the game with a
positive experience.
• Put the toy away after playing.
Important:
Small animals react very differently to new toys.
Many pets are highly motivated to play with the Flip
Board right from the start, others need a little time
to get used to it. They will ignore the toy at first, only
to become very enthusiastic about playing with it
later. There are also pets that enjoy concentrating on
a game for a long time, while others prefer to play
in smaller doses, but more frequently. Whichever
way your pet prefers, allow your pet time to play the
game in the way it likes it.
The game can begin
Exercise with the sliding covers:
1. Fill some treats into the hollows while your pet can
see you doing it and cover these only halfway. That
way your pet can find the treats more quickly and is
successful faster.
2. If your pet has difficulties, you can help to start with.
Show your pet how to move the sliding covers.
3. To increase the level of difficulty, cover the filled
hollows more and more. Practise until your pet can
move the sliding covers even when they completely
cover the hollows.

4. Once your pet has understood this, you can add
another element to the game.
Exercise with flaps:
1. To start with, proceed in the same way as with
the sliding covers. Place treats into one of the hol-
lows and leave the other one open and encourage
your pet to touch the lever. Give some help by
flicking the level once your pet touches it so that
your pet gets the treat.
2. When your pet can open one flap on its own, you
can use the second one as well.
3. When your pet has no problems working the
flaps, you can introduce the last element to the
game.
Exercise with lids:
1. Train with one element only to start with. Place
a treat in the hollow and put the lid on it. Lift the
lid to show your pet what is hidden under it. Now
your pet has to try to remove the lid with mouth
or paws to get the reward.
2. Repeat this exercise until your pet can remove the
lid without problems and gets the treat. Later you
can increase the level of difficulty further by not
hiding treats in all of the hollows.
Please remember:
Animals have short attention spans. They require
frequent success in order to occupy themselves
with something over longer periods of time. To
start with, keep the playing sessions with the Flip
Board short, so that your pet has time to process
the experience. Do not let your pet chew on the
product. Playing this game will give your pet great
experiences of success and together you will have
a lot of fun.
Do not leave your pet unsupervised while pla-
ying! This toy is not suitable for children!
