3.1 Explanation of symbols

3.2 Intended use

A diaphragm seal system is used for pressure measurement in industrial applications.
The diaphragm seal system provided by WIKA may only be operated as such. No separation
into its components is permitted.
The instrument has been designed and built solely for the intended use described here, and
may only be used accordingly.
The technical specifications contained in these operating instructions must be observed.
Improper handling or operation of the instrument outside of its technical specifications
requires the instrument to be taken out of service immediately and inspected by an author-
ised WIKA service engineer.
The manufacturer shall not be liable for claims of any type based on operation contrary to the
intended use.
3.3 Proper handling of diaphragm seal systems
CAUTION!
Damage to sensitive components
The most sensitive components are the diaphragm and the capillary. Even minor
damage to these components can result in measurement inaccuracies or even
the complete failure of the measuring system. There is a risk that the fill fluid can
escape.

The original diaphragm protection should be removed only shortly before
mounting and re-attached immediately after dismounting

Handle capillaries with care, avoid twisting or bending under all circumstances
▶
Observe the mounting instructions in chapter 5 "Commissioning, operation"
