- Connect the vacuum hose to a vacuum cleaner; the vacuum cleaner must be approved for the extraction of
masonry dust.
Setting the depth stop (Fig 4)
The depth stop (11) can be adjusted till 45mm.
- Lose the depth stop lever (11) and slide it to the desired depth.
- Tight the depth stop lever (11).
Soft start and Overload Protection
- Soft-start feature minimizes start-up shock, and makes the tool start smoothly.
- When overloaded, the motor comes to a stop.
Stop the machine for 3 to 5 minutes, and then cool down the motor for approx. 30 seconds at the highest no-load
speed.
Switching On and Off (Fig 5)
CAUTION:
Before plugging in the tool, always check that the On/Off switch (10) actuates properly and returns to the "OFF"
position when released.
- To start the machine, press the On/Off switch (10) and keep it pressed.
- To switch off the machine, release the On/Off switch (10).
Operation (Fig 6)
- The machine may only be used for dry cutting.
- Be sure to pull the tool when cutting a workpiece.
- Use this tool for straight line cutting only. Cutting curves can cause stress cracks or fragmentation of the diamond
blades resulting in possible injury to persons in the vicinity.
- After operation, always switch off the tool and wait until the diamond blades come to a complete stop before
putting the tool down.
- Hold the tool firmly with one hand on the switch handle (6) and the other hand on the side handle (3) when
performing the tool.
- Hold the tool firmly with both hands.
- Keep the diamond blades without making any contact with the workpiece, then turn the tool on and wait until the
diamond blades reach full speed.
- Push down the main handle gently until it stops and then pull the tool slowly (Fig 6).
- Before finishing cutting operation and raising the tool, switch it off first. Wait until the diamond wheels stop
completely and then raise the tool.
- Remove the remaining portion between the two blade passages by other appropriate tools.
CAUTION:
Only operate the machine backwards by pulling and never forwards by pushing. If you cut forwards there is a
danger that the machine might be accelerated out of the cutting groove and cause serious injury.
CAUTION:
To prevent accidents, make sure to turn the switch off and disconnect to the plug from the power receptacle.
Inspecting the machine
- Keep the machine clean.
- Since use of a dull (glazed) diamond blade will degrade efficiency and cause possible motor malfunction, replace
the diamond blade as soon as abrasion is noted.
- All plastic parts should be cleaned with a soft damp cloth. NEVER use solvents to clean plastic parts. They could
possibly dissolve or damage the material.
