§6.5 - Mounting of the bumper bar construction
•
The fixed 3-piece bumper bar S362 has a fixed position on
the HTL frame. Take this position into consideration when
planning on the mounting height C, so that the fitted HTL
complies with legal bumper requirements. [See Fig. 6.12]
•
When using a confirmed FITTING DRAWING, the
bumper height is taken into account when deter-
mining the fitting height C.
•
Otherwise consult the TECHNICAL SUMMARY of the HTL
to check the technical relation between the fitting height C
and the position of the bumper bar.
•
It is not allowed to modify (cut, weld, move,...)
the original bumper bar. Disregard could lead to
non-conformity with the bumper bar certificates,
and refusal at the vehicle inspection.
•
Double-check compliance of the bumper position with the
legal requirements. [See Fig. 6.12].
•
Mount the middle bumper bar section. [See Fig. 6.13]
•
Fasten all bolted connections, and tighten them according
to the required torque settings. [See annex].
