Instructions for the use of WOLF battery-powered mowers
For maximum pleasure from your battery-powered mower and to be able to exploit the maximum performance from the battery capacity,
please note the following instructions.
• The area that can be mown by your battery-powered mower is dependent on various factors. These are:
1) type of lawn
Battery-powred lawnmowers are suitable for lawns the are mown frequently, normally, and, to a certain extent, for lawns that have
not been cut for a while after holidays. The surface area that can be mown does however decrease in the order given above.
Battery-powered mowers are not suitable for infrequently-mown meadows or similar.
2) lawn structure
The area that can be mown decreases in proportion to the density of the grass. The mowing capability is lowest on extremely
dense grass, e. g. golf greens.
3) lawn condition
The lawn condition (dry, dewy, wet) makes a considerable difference to the mowing capacity. The greatest area can be mown
when the grass is dry. If the lawn is wet, most of the energy is spent on cutting and collecting, leading to a correspondingly low
mowing capability.
4) mowing/walking speed
The walking speed influences the duration of mowing and therefore the area that can be covered. We therefore recommend rapid
mowing. The mowing path should not be covered twice if possible and the overlap of mowing tracks should be kept as minimal
as possible. Frquently switching the mower on and off likewise decreases the battery's power.
• lways ensure that the battery-powered mower's cutter is sharp (have sharpened by a specialist or replace).
• Mowers with lead batteries must be charged before being put into storage for winter, and also after each mowing.
• Do not transport the mower by the handle of the inserted battery.
Charging ( bb. B1)
1. Remove switch key
2. Connect charge plug to battery
3. Insert plug charger in socket, red lamp lights up on plug charger
4. Battery is fully charged when this lamp goes out
ttention! Only use the charger in dry rooms!
Please note:
• The Rechargeable battery must be charged prior to long periods of storage (e. g. in the winter).
• Charge times with the enclosed charging unit: Rechargeable battery 12V / 12 h approx. 60 hours.
• Only use the supplied battery charger or the WOLF fast-charger SLG 300, part no. 4911072.
• Ensure that the charging plug is correctly seated.
• The mower cannot be switched on during the charging process.
ttaching of grassbox (fig. B2)
Lift deflector lid, locate grassbox hook into opening of chassis (see arrow) and replace lid.
Use of heigth adjustment (fig. B3)
Only when mower is stationary and rotating blade has come to complete standstill.
1. Lift all four bars up to stop.
2. Pull axles out of axle guides.
3. Firmly press axles into desired height guide.
4. Press in bars .
Note: ll four wheels must be at the same height.
Selection of Cutting height
If possible, mow when grass is dry in order to protect turf. Do not se cutting position too low when mowing very hight or wet grass. We
recommend an average cutting height of 3,4 cm.
Connecting to the mains (230 Volts, .C., 50 Hz)
The mower operates from any normal household mains supply, provided with a 10 mps. fuse.
Note: Use a residual current device (RCD) rated for a residual current not greater than 30 m .
Starting (fig. B4)
Switch on motor with mowerplaced on level and firm ground, not in high grass - alternatively tilt slightly.
Switch-on motor (fig. B5/M9)
1. Insert the switch key (fig. M9, 2).
2. Depress button and hold (fig. B5, 1).
3. Lift up bar (fig. B5, 2) and release button (fig. B5, 1).
Switch-off motor (fig. B5)
Release bar (2).
Emptying of Grassbox
The grassbox is full and should be emptied as soon as grass clippings remain uncollected on the ground behind your mower.
Note: If there is a blockage in the mowing chamber, switch off mower and remove switch key before cleaning.
