Safety instructions
2. Before Mowing:
• Never mow without wearing sturdy footwear and long trousers:
Never mow barefoot or in open sandals.
• ttach the baffle provided and/or grasscatcher. Make certain that
it is firmly fitted. Operation without or with damaged protective
equipment is forbidden.
• Examine the power supply cable installed externally on the mower
and the connecting cable for damage and ageing (perishing). Use
only when in good condition.
• Check the machine to make certain that the mounting elements
are tightly fitted for damage or serious wear.
• Observe the installation instructions when replacing parts.
• Inspect the catcher frequently for wear and deformation.
• Check the condition of all outside cables. geing and damaged
cables must be replaced by a qualified person.
• Before adjusting or cleaning the machine and before checking for
a caught or damaged connecting cable, switch off the tool and
disconnect the mains plug.
• Before using, ensure (visually) that the cutting blades and their
attaching parts are not blunt or damaged. Replace blunt or
damaged cutting blades by whole sets to avoid imbalance.
3. Cable
• Please work with safety cables from WOLF. For the connection only
which are not lighter than power supply cables H0 7 RN-F to DIN
with a minimum diameter of 3 x 1,5 mm
• They must be of a type suitable for use outdoors and be connected
via a residual current circuit breaker.
• Use a leakage-protective system (RCD) with a leakage current of
no more than 30 m .
• ttach connection cable to traction relief. Make sure that in does
not rub against edges, pointed or sharp objects. Do not squeeze
cable through door or window gaps.
• Switching devices must not be removed or bridged (e.g. tying of
switching lever to handlebar).
4. Starting the Motor:
• Switch om motor only when your feet are at a safe distanca from the
mower chassis and when standing on firm ground - not in high grass;
• Do not tilt the mower when starting the motor unless the mower
must be tilted for starting. If so, do not tilt the mower more than
absolutely necessary and lift only the part farthest from the
user. lways ensure that both of your hands are in the working
positions before replacing the mower on the ground.
• Do not start the motor if you are standing in front of the discharge channel.
5. During work - for your Safety:
• TTENTION - D NGER! Keep hands away from rotating cutter
blade and remember that the blade continues to rotate for a short
while after the motor has been switched off;
• lways walk behind the handle bars, holding the upper handle grip
with both hands;
• Keep feet away from the mower chassis and be extra carefull
Operation
Operating times
Please check noise abatement regulations prevailing in
your country.
ttaching of grassbox (fig. B1)
Lift deflector lid, locate grassbox hook into opening of chassis
(see arrow) and replace lid.
Use of height adjustment (fig. B2/B3)
Only when mower is stationary and rotating blade has
come to complete standstill.
1. Lift all four bars up to stop.
2. Pull axles out of axle guides.
3. Firmly press axles into desired height guide.
4. Press in bars .
Note: ll four wheels must be at the same height.

must be used.
when mowing on hills or slopes to prevent slipping. Mow across
the hill, if possible. Mow forward at walking pace, never run;
• void pulling the mower backwards (towards you) during work;
• Switch off motor before tilting or lifting the mower and when
pushing off the lawn area;
• Never use the mower when the protective parts are damaged or safety
equipment such as the deflector and/or grass catching parts are missing;
• Use the height adjustment only when the mower is stationary and
the rotating blade has come to a complete standstill;
• Before removing the grassbox switch off the motor and wait until
the rotating blade has come to a complete standstill;
• Never push mower over gravel with running motor;
• If possible, avoid mowing in wet coditions;
• Switch off motor and remove cable plug before working at the
cutter blades, before making any adjustments, when cable has
become entangled:
a) before leaving the mower unattended,
b) before attempting to clear a blockage underneath chassis or at
rear discharge,
c) before inspecting, cleaning or working on the mower,
d) immediately after your mower blade has hit a foreign and hard
object. Check the condition of the deck and cutter blade before
switching on again,
e) immediately when your mower starts to vibrate strongly. Locate
the reason for the vibration and remedy.
• If your mower has a power-drive do switch the power-drive off
before starting motor or engine.
• Should the power cord be damaged during use, immediately
disconnect it fromthe mains. Do not touch the cable until it has
been disconnected from the mains.
6. Maintenance:
• Switch off motor and remove mains plug before carrying out any
repairs or maintenance to your mower;
• Do not clean your mower with a hose pipe - and particularly not
with a high-pressure spray;
• Inspect regularly all visible nuts and bolts - particularly ot the
cutter blade - for their tightness;
• TTENTION! Sharpening and changing of cutter blades should
be done by a qualified service centre because it is necessary
that the correct balance after fixing is guaranteed;
• Damaged and worn parts must always be replaced with original WOLF
replacement parts as otherwise your guarantee will be invalidated;
• Your service centre should check your mower regularly and particularly
after any hard obstacle has hit the chassis and/or the cutter blades;
• Store your mower only in a dry room.
• If cutter blade hits a hard foreign object whilst mowing switch of
motor immediately, remove safety key and check cutter blade
carefully for damage. Please observe these hints, as they help
you to prevent damage or even accidents!
• Conduct maintenance and cleaning work only when the motor is
switched off and the key or plug has been removed.
Selection of Cutting height
If possible, mow when grass is dry in order to protect turf. Do
not use cutting position too low when mowing very hight or wet
grass. We recommend an average cutting height of 3,4 cm.
Connecting to the mains
The mower operates from any normal household mains
supply, provided with a 10 mps. fuse.
Note: Use a residual current device (RCD) rated for a
residual current not greater than 30 m .
Insert connection cable in the strain relief (fig. M7)
Insert coupling of connection cable in the socket of the switch.
Then guide the cable from outside in a slight loop over the
peg of the strain relief assembly.
