Installation instructions:
Note:
In the area where the trailer coupling is attached to the vehicle underbody or cavity sealing, wax or damping
material has to be removed. Remove any bore shavings and seal open body parts (such as bore holes) with
rust-proofing paint.
Remove the rear bumper from the vehicle. The tail lights have to be loosened for this also.
1.)
Dismantle the regular holder as well as the reinforcement support, because these parts are no longer
needed.
Please note! The M10 standard screws may not be used again in any case!!!
2.)
Slide the basic frame 1 into the vehicle's sleepers and fasten it using the screws 4 + 5 as shown in the
diagram.
Align the basic frame 1 to the vehicle and tighten the screws 4.
3.)
Attention!
Angular-controlled starting torque (M10x35 screws, quality class 10.9).
First tighten all screws alternating cross-wise with 50 Nm torque (±10% tolerance).
Then turn all screws alternating cross-wise by 90° more (+30° tolerance).
4.)
Assemble the electrical kit according to the extra instructions.
Cut out the area marked on the inside of the existing bumper (spoiler) from below in the centre.

Slide the basic frame 1 into the vehicle's sleepers and fasten it using the screws 3 and washers 4 as

shown in the diagram.
The ball tow bar is operated according to the enclosed extra Operating Manual.
7.)
When the ball tow bar is removed the seal stopper 6 should be completely inserted into the ball tow bar
retainer socket.
Keep this retainer socket clean at all times.
