5. CLEANINGAND MAINTENANCE

5.1 Safety instructions

All maintenance, cleaning and repair of the appliance must be done with a disconnected appliance (isolated
from all electrical sources).
The use of caustic detergents and baking soda for cleaning is prohibited. Water must not get inside the
device.
Never immerse the device in water or other liquid.
Use Casselin brand products intended for this purpose.
WARNING
The device cannot be cleaned by direct water jet (no pressurized water jet).

5.2 Daily maintenance

IT IS ESSENTIAL TO clean the inside of the machine at least twice a day, or better yet, whenever you
notice the presence of waste on the filter in the tank. Remove the filters from the tank if present, (C-10) to
clean them. Empty the water from the tank by lifting the overflow plug
(C-2) remove the pump filter (C-4) and clean it.
Clean the tank, removing any residue and solid waste that may be there.
Make sure the rotating wash spray arms are able to rotate. Using a fine point, clean the holes in the
nozzles which could be blocked by solid elements.
Put all the different elements back in place in reverse order. Leave the appliance door ajar when not in use.
To avoid the risk of oxidation or chemical attack of all kinds, always keep the surfaces of the steel
appliance very clean.
NEVER USE THE APPLIANCE WITHOUT ITS PUMP PROTECTION FILTER.
Periodic maintenance operations (to be done at least every 2 or 3 days).
NOTE : never wash the appliance by means of direct water jets or high pressure jets, in order to avoid any
possibility of infiltration liable to impair the proper functioning of the machine and its safety devices, and to
the risk of lose the warranty.
Completely drain the machine following the procedure described above.
• Switch off the device by pressing the line button (A-1) (position "0").
• Switch off the power supply using the main switch located upstream of the appliance.
• Clean the tank filters (C-4) and the pump filter (C-1).
• Remove the upper and lower rinsing spray rotating arms (C-7) by unscrewing the central fixing ring.
• Check and clean all jets.
• Disassemble the upper and lower rotating washing spray arms (C-6), removing them from the rotation
pins.
• Check and clean all jets.
• Thoroughly clean the tank.
• Put all the different elements back in place in the reverse order.
• Leave the appliance door ajar when not in use.
• Clean the external surfaces of the appliance with soap and water, then rinse and dry them thoroughly.
NOTE : Never use steel shavings, straws or brushes to clean stainless steel.
After a certain number of uses, more or less variable according to the hardness of the water used, the
calcium salt and the magnesium present in the water form on the internal walls of the heating tank, pipes
and the tank, a layer of scale which, in the long run, can affect the proper functioning of the appliance. It is
therefore necessary to have the appliance periodically descaled by qualified personnel. In the event of an
anomaly in the operation of the machine or a breakdown, cut off the electric current by unplugging the main
switch and call a qualified assistance center.
