Regeneration cycle (if option is present)

The average frequency of this operation is around 40 baskets (which refers to an initial hardness of 35 °
French). This data may still vary depending on the hardness of the water; opaque stripes on the lenses will
indicate the need for regeneration. Make sure that there is coarse salt in the container inside the tank (1 kg
is enough for about 5 regenerations).
The regeneration cycle can only begin when the unit is on with the door closed.
In this condition, it suffices to press button A-4 for at least 3 seconds, the regeneration phase starts up
following the ignition of a solenoid valve. The need to start the regeneration cycle is signaled by the flashing
of indicator light A-5 (frequency 1 second).
The entire resin regeneration process lasts 21 minutes while the discharge pump (if present) remains on for
another 20 seconds. With its closure also ends the regeneration cycle.
Throughout the cycle, indicator light A-5 is on and flashes (frequency 1 second). At any time, if the door is
opened, the regeneration cycle stops and all the components are disconnected (except for the discharge
pump if active), the indicator light A-5 begins to flash (frequency 0, 5 seconds). The cycle starts again
automatically (indicator light 5 flashes with frequency 1 second), from where it was stopped, 1 second after
closing the door.
At the end of the cycle, the machine automatically returns to the OFF state.
Manual drain (if provided)
Manual emptying can only be done with the machine on and the door open. In this state (door open), by
pressing button A-2 for at least 3 seconds, the drain pump is activated for a maximum duration of 2 minutes
and 20 seconds.
To turn it off before the expiry date, press button A-2 again or set main switch A-1 to OFF. During the
emptying phase, the selected cycle indicator light A-6 and the door open indicator A-5 flash.
Procedures in the event of a network failure
No special procedure is foreseen in the event of an interruption of the supply network.
When the power supply is restored, the machine goes into the OFF state (LED A-5 on).
Security devices
Water temperature
The machine is equipped with the water heater waiting device. If the water heater has not reached the
temperature selected by the installer, the washing cycle remains in operation until the selected value is
reached. It means that :
• rinsing will always take place at the selected temperature, regardless of the temperature of the supply
water.
• the washing cycle may have a duration longer than the duration selected if the temperature of the supply
water does not correspond to that indicated by the technical data sheet of the machine.
Door security
If the door is opened during a washing or regeneration cycle, the cycle is stopped and restarted from the
moment it was interrupted. This device has no influence on the tank resistance or overheating and during
the unloading of the tank.
Tank heater protection
If the water level in the tank drops, before uncovering, the resistance is deactivated to prevent dry running
and the risk of reaching a hot component with your hands. This protection also interrupts the supply to the
water heater resistances.
