4. Activating and Pairing

Activating
The Smart Thermostat is activated by removing the blue paper tab from the battery compart-
ment on the back of the Smart Thermostat.

Pairing
Smart Thermostat devices have to be paired before usage. It is a one time key-exchange
between the units and ensure safe communication between them. The pairing requires three
steps for each device.
The Extension Box backplate corresponds to a UK standard
backplate.
To ensure good connectivity, it is important to insert the wires
between the two metal plates.
When pressing the button the display shows
"HI !". The Smart Thermostat is not configured.
