2. Connecting the Bridge

The Bridge establishes the connection to the internet between the Smart Thermostat as well
as the Extension Box (if present). It is connected to a router via an ethernet cable and com-
municates wirelessly with the Smart Thermostat and the Extension Box.
Below are the 2 options for powering the Bridge:
USB Power Adapter
Connect the ethernet port to the router and the USB port to power via the power adapter.

USB Jack on Router
Connect the ethernet port to the router and the USB port to power via the router.

After connecting the Bridge an automatic device configuration starts. During this the status
LEDs will show the following:
1. All lights solid for 2-3 seconds
2. The link light remains solid, other 2 flash
then become solid in sequence
3. The link light flashes continuously.
