Jumper Position 1: Potential Free Wiring Connection
The Extension Box comes with a three-wire cable meaning that an additional cable is

required for connecting to potential free relays on boilers (4 wires). The power supply can
either be taken from the boiler itself or from a wall socket nearby.

The power supply is separated from the relays. This wiring option is
to connect low voltage single relays. If a UK standard backplate is
present some rewiring might be required so that the wires corre-
spond to Hager "Relay Wiring 1" as indicated on the back of the
Extension Box.
This wiring option corresponds to a 230 V dual relay programmer.
If a UK standard backplate is present and wired as a 230 V dual
relay (central heating and hot water) the Extension Box can simply
be mounted on the existing backplate and does not require any
rewiring.
The jumper position is changed by removing the jumper on the back
of the Extension Box and turning it by 180°.
The analog output voltage "A", the negative voltage (GND) with "–"
and the positive supply voltage (Vcc) with "+" must be connected to
the low voltage connections on the right-hand side.
