1. Funktionsbeschreibung
Der Raumentfeuchter CD 40/50 arbeitet nach dem
Kondensationsprinzip. Mittels eines Ventilators wird
die zu entfeuchtende Luft angesaugt. Im dahinter
liegenden Verdampfer wird der Luft Wärme entzogen,
wodurch nach Unterschreitens des Taupunktes der
Wasserdampf zu Wassertropfen kondensiert. Das
Kondenswasser wird danach zu einem Abfluss
geleitet. Der trockenen kalten Luft wird beim
Durchströmen des Kondensators die vorher
entzogene Wärme wieder zugeführt. Infolge der
freiwerdenden Verdampfungswärme und der in
Wärme umgewandelten Antriebsenergie des
Kompressors wird der Luft mehr Wärme zugeführt als
ihr vorher entzogen worden ist. Diese Wärmezufuhr
entspricht ungefähr einer Temperaturerhöhung von
5°C. Durch die ständige Zirkulation der Raumluft
durch das Gerät wird die relative Feuchtigkeit der Luft
nach und nach gesenkt, wodurch ein sehr schnelles,
aber dennoch schonendes Austrocknen erreicht wird.
2. Geräteaufstellung
2.1. Plazierung
Der CD 40/50 muss in einer Höhe von mindestens
300 mm vom Boden aufgestellt werden, um einen
sicheren Ablauf des Kondenswassers zu gewähr-
leisten. Hierzu können Standbeine für beide Geräte
oder eine Wandkonsole für den CD 40 als Zubehör
geliefert werden.

1. Method of operation
The dehumidifier CD 40/50 works on the condensa-
tion principle. A fan draws the moist air into evapora-
tor which extracts heat from it, thus bringing the air
below its dew point and converting the water vapour
into water droplets. The condensate is then drained
off. The previously extracted heat is returned to the
cold dry air as it passes back through the condenser
and in fact as a consequence of the liberated evapo-
ration heat and heat energy converted from the action
of the compressor, a greater amount of heat is added
to the air than was previously extracted. This extra
heat corresponds to a rise in temperature of approx.
5°C. The repeated circulation of air through the unit
reduces the relative humidity, giving very rapid but
gentle drying.
2. Installation of the unit
2.1 Location
The CD 40/50 must be located at a height of at least
30 cm above the floor to ensure proper drainage of the
condensate. Legs for both models or a wall bracket
for the CD 40 are available as options.
