1.1 Magnum-X round slings based on DIN EN 1492-2

2. General directions for use
2.1 Ensure that load slinging is only carried out by
competently trained personnel!
2.2 Slings must only be used for their intended purpose;
any other use is prohibited!
2.3 Check the following prior to first-time use:
a) That the lifting sling is absolutely
identical with the one ordered.
b) That the manufacturer's certi ficate
has been received.
c) Manufacturer's specifications and
WLL (Working Load Limit) marked on
the sling are the same as those speci-
fied on the Certificate.
2.4 Avoid use in areas that are subject to chemical attack,
e.g. acids or alkalis! The use of the Magnum-X round sling
in conjunction with chemicals is only permitted in agree-
ment with the Manufacturer after specifying period and
conditions of use.

- Chemicals
- Concentration
- Temperature
- Exposure time
Magnum-X round slings which have come into contact
with acids, lyes or other aggressive substances should be
rinsed with water and cleaned before being stored or used
again. Advice on additional cleaning procedures should be
sought from your SpanSet
dealer or direct from SpanSet. Magnum-X round slings
with metal fittings may not be used in acid environments
as there is a danger of loss of strength.
2.5 In the event of frost, ice may be formed in damp Ma-
gnum-X round slings. This results in a cutting or abrasive
effect which negatively affects the use of the slings.
If Magnum-X round slings have become wet during use,
they should be dried in well-ventilated rooms.
2.6 If you are using Magnum-X round
slings in extreme temperature ranges,
request additional information from the
Manufacturer. The Magnum-X round
sling, as polyester
slinging gear (PES), is marked with a
blue label and can be used in a tempe-
rature range from -40°C up to +100°C without reservati-
ons.
2.7 Magnum-X round slings with illegible or missing labels
should be withdrawn from service, since a lack of safety
instructions may lead to incorrect use. When hooking up
with Magnum-X
round slings, make
