- Do not crush the Magnum-X round
sling - this may result in loss of load
capacity.
- Damaged, overloaded or worn Magnum-
X round slings must be taken out of ser-
vice immediately. Their strength is no
longer assured.
- It is prohibited to use Magnum-X
round slings with an angle of incli-
nation greater than 60º as the re-
sulting forces are no longer
controllable and represent a dan-
ger to workers and to the load.
- Do not use Magnum-X round slings
in a basket hitch as they could slide
towards each other and the load
could fall.
- Do not in any event simply lay the Ma-
gnum-X round slings over the
crane hook as the slings can slip
out of the hook and the load
could fall.
- Magnum-X round slings should not
be wound round the load several
times on top of each other in
order to shorten the sling.
- Magnum-X round slings may not
be tautened or pulled over sharp
edges since the load-bearing
surface will be cut through. A
sharp edge can be considered
to exist if the radius of the
edge "r" is equal to/smaller than the thick-
ness/diameter "d" of the round sling. When working
with sharp edges, it is essential to use edge protec-
tors!
