Before Initial Use
CAUTION!

Keep children and animals away from the packaging material. There is a danger of
suffocation, among other dangers!
1. Unpack all parts and check the items supplied for completeness (see the "Items Sup-
plied and Device Overview" chapter) and possible transport damage. If you fi nd any
damage to the components, do not use them (!), but contact our customer service
department.
2. Remove any fi lms or stickers that may be present from the device and accessories.
3. Charge up the battery (see the "Charging Up the Battery" chapter).
Charging Up the Battery
CAUTION!

Risk of short-circuits! Do not insert any conducting objects (e.g. screwdrivers or
similar items) into the charging socket.
■
The battery may only be charged using the mains adapter which is supplied with the
device. Do not use the mains adapter to charge up other batteries.
■
Pull the mains adapter out of the plug socket if it is not going to be used for a lengthy
period of time.
■
It is essential that you charge up the battery fully before you fi rst use the device
in order to achieve the maximum charging capacity. The fi rst charge will last
for 10 – 12 hours.

3. Disconnect the mains adapter from the mains power and then from the device.
4. Seal the closure (1) again.

1. Open the closure (1) on the handle (9) and connect the
mains adapter to the charging socket (B) and then plug it
into a properly installed, easily accessible plug socket. The
charge control lamp (A) lights up.
2. Allow the battery of the device to charge up for approx.
10 – 12 hours on the fi rst charge and then for approx.
5 hours. The charge control lamp (A) goes out when the
battery is fully charged.
