The machine can be managed by any external control (e.g. timer,
hygrostat, thermostat, etc.) able to close an electrical contact when
the machine needs to be running and opening it when the machine
needs to be cut off.
7.3 LAST SHUTDOWN
Pay particular attention when stopping the machine for the last time
before a long shutdown (e.g.: seasonal).
Empty the pump by closing the cock on the water mains and running
the machine in manual mode until it cuts out. Empty the remaining
parts of the system (filters, pipes, etc.).
Turn the main switch to OFF. Cut the machine off from the power
supply.
Check that the machine is set in a technical room, protected from the
weather and not in direct contact with the animals.
The temperature inside the room should never fall below
3ºC or exceed 40ºC.
If necessary, have the pump draw in antifreeze.
8. ROUTINE MAINTENANCE
Routine maintenance comprises a series of simple operations to be
carried out at regular intervals and in accordance with the
instructions provided below.
The machine must be stopped and switched off before
performing any maintenance operations.
Comply with the warnings below when cleaning the machine or any
of its parts:
•
Never clean electrical equipment using water or other fluids;
•
Clean using water or compressed air and soft cloths;
Do not clean plastic surfaces with alcohol, detergents or
•
solvents.
If the oil needs to be changed, dispose of the old oil
responsibly in compliance with all current regulations. Under
no circumstances are these substances to be released into
the environment.
8.1 ROUTINE MACHINE MAINTENANCE
All maintenance or cleaning operations must be
performed with the machine switched off and the mains
water cock closed, the power supply disconnected and the
motor cold.

Activities
Check operation of all controls
Check the oil level inside the pump; top
up with standard 15W40 oil, if necessary
Check the water operating pressure
using the pressure gauge built into the
machine's pump outlet. The reference
value is 70bar ± 10%
Check that the nozzles are clean. If
necessary, clean or replace them.
Check that all safety systems are
functioning properly: the machine must
cut out if there is no water (close the
water inlet cock and run the machine).
Check that the water filters are clean
Check the pump seals: check that there
is no water dripping from the pump
head
Unscrew the end-of-line valve(s) and run
the machine in manual mode for a few
minutes.
8.2 ROUTINE MAINTENANCE OF HIGH PRESSURE PUMP
Below is a cutaway of the high pressure pump:

Cap;
3
Suction/Delivery Valve;
4
Water seals.
The pump must be stopped and cold before performing
any maintenance operations.
The two main operations to be performed on the pump are:
1. Replacement of the oil inside the pump; this is to be
performed after the first 50 hours of operation, after the first
