FITTING THE HANDLES
WARNING - Carefully read the safety precautions before
starting to assemble the machine..
Mod. T143 (fig.11)
- Remove the pin (A) from the bar (B)
- Fit the bar (B) on the rollers (C) see the drawing fig. 1/A.
- Fit the pin (A).
Mod.T152 (fig. 10)
- Connect the frame (15) on the brackets (17) by means the
screws,washers and nuts (A).
- Handle (16) may be adjusted to the correct hight of the
operator (20)
- Tighten all the screws and nuts.
Mod. TDU155 (Fig. 1)
Slip the throttle half handle (B) into the bracket (A) and fix it on
the position D/1 or D/2, according if the auger is used by one
or two operators, (see fig. 1/B or 1/C).
Secure the half handle with the screws (17) and nuts (16).
Slip the half handle (C) into the bracket (A) and secure it in the
same position as the handle (B) with the screws (17) and
nuts (16).
Mod.T160 (fig. 12)
Assemble the tube (18) to the handlebar (13) via the spring
(17) and the lever (16).
Handle (14) may be adjusted to the correct hight of the
operator.
FITTING THE THROTTLE CABLE AND STOP SWITCH WIRES
(Fig.2)
Introduce the throttle cable (A) through of the cable tensioner
(B).Make sure that the cable sheath (C) rest against the inside
WARNING:the auger must only be used to drill the
soil. Don't fix or secure the auger on fixed or rigid
supports. It is forbidden to use tools or attachments on the
P.T.O. except those recommended by the manufacturer. Don't
use drills which have a diameter bigger than recommended
by the manufacturer.
WARNING:
Mod. T152 - for transportation lock the drill
as follow:push the drill forward till it lock on the device
(19) Fig.10. To unlock press the lever (14) Fig. 10.
WARNING:
Mod. T160 - for transportation lock the drill
as follow:push the drill forward till it lock on the device
(15) Fig.12. To unlock press the lever (12) Fig. 12.
TO DRILL
Start the engine and put the drill on the position you want to drill
a hole, making sure the drill is perpendicular to the soil.
Mod T 143 Fig 11
- Place your foot into the opening and press the bar (14) into
the soil.
- Hold both handles firmly.
- Speed the engine and at the same time start to drill by pushing
down on the handle.
- If the drill start to lock into the soil release the pressure.
- To avoid the drill locking into the soil clear the earth from the
drill lifting the machine every so often.
- When the drill if finished lift the machine and remove the bar
(14) from the soil.
5. ASSEMBLY
of the tensioner (B). Ensure that the throttle lever is not in half-
throttle, then connect the cable terminal in the clamp (E). Adjust
cable tension (A) by loosening the lock nut (D) and turning the
tensioner (B). Once the correct tension is reached, tighten the
lock nut (D). If adjusted correctly, throttle trigger will move freely
approximately 2mm. before carburetor lever (E)
moves.Connect the stop switch wires (F-G) .
DRILL FITTING Fig. 1
WARNING - Before fitting the drill make sure that the
P.T.O. is locked as follows:
Fig.3 - Push and turn clockwise the button (A).
In order to make easier to lock the button (A) procede as
follow: turn clockwise the drill (12) fig.1 till the reduction gear
is locked.
Fig.1 - In order to operate easily and quickly the drill is fitted or
removed by a quick release mechanism ACTIVE "Quick Joint"
device.
- Push up the sleeve (E) of the drill (12) and holding it up fit the
drill into the splined sleeve (F).
- When the balls meet the P.T.O. groove (a click is heard)
release the sleeve (E)
- Make sure the drill is fitted correctly.
EXTENSION (option) (15) fig.1
The extension allows to increase the depth drilling.
The extension must be fitted between the reduction gear and
the drill.
The procedure to fit the extension is the same as the drill
(see paragraph DRILL FITTING).
On the extension shaft there are three grooves which allow
three differents adjustments (90mm. each one total extension
270mm.)
WARNING: to unlock the reduction gear by turning the
button (A) fig.3 counterclockwise.
6. USE THE AUGER
Mod. T 152 Fig. 10
- When operating the auger always keep hold of both handles
firmly.
- Accelerate the engine and start to drill by pushing down on
the machine in such a way that the front wheel remain in
contact with the soil. If the operating conditions require
increased pressure on the drill it may be necessary to add
more ballast(18) fig. 1/B in order for the wheel to be in contact
with the soil.
- Clear the earth from the drill by lifting the machine every so
often.
Mod. TDU 155 Fig. 1
- Hold both handles firmly.
- Increase the engine speed and at the same time start to drill
by pushing down on the handleS.
- If the drill start to lock into the soil release the pressure.
- To avoid the drill locking into the soil clear the earth from the
drill lifting the machine every so often.
Mod. T 160 Fig. 12
- When operating the auger always keep hold of both handles
firmly.
- Accelerate the engine and start to drill by pushing down on
the machine in such a way that the wheels remain in contact
with the soil.
- Clear the earth from the drill by lifting the machine every so
often.
