5.2 Cleaning the residual limb

Users with sensitive skin, diabetes, and problems of the vascular system must examine the
condition of their residual limb and apply lubricant to sensitive areas.
1. Clean the skin daily with a solution of water and unperfumed, pH balanced soap.
2. Rinse the skin with clean water to remove all residues.
3. Apply lotion to dry skin as recommended by your practitioner.

6 Fitting the Valve

Do not overtighten the locking pin.
We recommend using a locking pin that has a shoulder of between 13.5 mm and 19 mm in
diameter.
1. Put the valve on the distal cap.
2. Put the washer between the locking pin and the valve.
3. Apply Loctite 243 to the threads of the locking pin.
4. Torque the locking pin to 3 Nm, or tighten it with your fingers by either 1/8 or 1/4 of a turn.
