8 Fitting Advice

The instructions in this section are for practitioner use only.
Symptoms
Sinking at heel strike
Rapid transition from heel strike
through stance phase
Difficulty controlling heel action
(e.g. foot jars into mid-stance)
Foot feels too rigid
8.1

Using the Adjuster Screw

The adjuster screw is used to adjust the stiffness of the heel cushion.
Note... Users who weigh between 100 kg and 125 kg may need maximum heel stiffness.
Users who weigh 60 kg or less may need minimum heel stiffness.
To stiffen the heel cushion:
• Turn the adjuster screw
Note... The heel cushion is set to maximum
stiffness when the screw is fully engaged.

Bonding a Cosmesis

Before you begin, lightly abrade and clean the mating surfaces with a suitable solvent cleaner.

Remedy
Stiffen the heel cushion
Soften the heel cushion
To soften the heel cushion:
• Turn the adjuster screw counterclockwise.
Note... The heel cushion is set to minimum
stiffness after 4 counterclockwise turns from the
maximum stiffness setting.
Use a contact adhesive
(Evo Stik 528, Thixofix
or an equivalent)
