7. Battery
7.1. Battery Indication
The current battery status is symbolised by a
three-stage battery indicator.

Attention!
When the empty battery symbol flashes, no more
measurements can be performed and the battery
has to be replaced immediately.
7.2 Replacing the Battery
Loosen the screw at the back of the instrument
which secures the battery compartment lid, remove
the lid.
Change the batteries while observing the polarity.
The device requires 2 x 1,5 V AAA LR03 (alkali-
manganese) batteries.
In the case of leaked batteries, you have to remove
the electrolyte completely.
Put the lid back on the battery compartment and
screw it tight.
In the case of a long storage period, remove the bat-
teries from the device.
Note:
Two batteries are included in the scope of delivery.
These batteries are not rechargeable.
Attempting to charge them may represent a danger
to personal safety and cause damage to the equip-
ment. The batteries may not be opened. Batteries
may not be disposed of with the domestic waste.
Please return batteries to your local retailer or the
municipal collection station. Return is free of charge
and required by law.
8. Maintenance / Storage
8.1 General Information
The METRAVOLT VT 1500 is maintenance free. Nev-
ertheless, observe the following details in order to
ensure safe operation:
Always keep the voltage tester dry and clean. The
housing can be cleaned with a cloth dampened with
isopropyl (alcohol) or soapy water.
