Voltage Detection

The device detects DC voltages
is compared to a threshold value and the resulting binary information is
galvanically isolated and transmitted to the output circuit.
If the selectable threshold value is exceeded, the integrated solid state relay
opens in order to display the presence of voltage.
The threshold value refers to the absolute value of the input signal. In other
words, the switch opens when the positive threshold is exceeded or when
the value drops below the negative threshold. The individual ranges are
calibrated.
The solid state switch can be used to trigger a relay or contactor or to signal
to a downstream control unit (e.g., safety device or PLC, see page 58).
The signal levels are based on PLC signal inputs of Type 1, EN 61131-2.
Depending on the device variant, the amplitude of the input voltage may be
up to several kilovolts.
