WIRING
3.2.1 Cable lead-in
The mains cable lead -in is routed through a supplied WAGO female plug (ref: 770-103 see appendix p: 34).
The AC connections are made through cable bushings.
The battery cable lead-in is routed through cable bushings.
The "accessory" cable lead-in (see paragraph accessories) is routed through the cable bushings.
When connecting or disconnecting a cable, the unit's power supply must be off and the batteries electrically
insulated from the charger.
The references for additional supplies required for the appliance to operate efficiently are provided in the
following paragraphs: failure to comply with these provisions renders the warranty null and void.
3.2.2 Cable from the public AC power supply network or generator
All CPS3 shore power unit can operate automatically and equally on single phase networks from 85 to
265VCA and from 47 to 65Hz.
Note: The earth-leak circuit breaker test button does not operate for voltages below 185VAC.
Generators:
The CRISTEC shore power unit are designed to operate from a generator.
Be careful: In some cases, the generators can generate surges, especially during start-up phase,
impact load, load shedding and stop. Before connecting the charger, please check its compatibility
with the characteristics of the generator: power, voltage, overvoltage, frequency, current...
It is strongly recommended to unplug the AC mains during start and stop of the generator.
The power cable must be connected to female plug:
: Earth
N:
Neutral
L:
Phase
The cross-section of AC power cables must be at least equal to 4 mm ².
The type of cable (H07-VK, MX, etc.) should be defined by the installer according to the application type
and the enforceable standards.
The PE conductor (commonly called "earth", the green and yellow wire) of the AC source must be
connected to the terminal provided for the purpose, and this must be done before connecting any other
terminals.
BE CAREFUL: if the ON/OFF charger accessory is used, the charger can be stopped but nevertheless still
being under voltage (dangerous voltage).
