Never plug the machine in if the rice cooker is empty.
Take care during cooking. Steam escapes from the air vent on the top of the lid.
Do not put the rice cooker directly under your furniture.
Do not open the cooker during the cooking cycle. If you do so, take care because
steam escapes and there is a risk of burns.
When cooking has finished the cooker automatically goes to the "Keep Warm" mode and the
orange light comes on. This keeps the rice warm after cooking has finished.
When you open the lid wear oven gloves or use a cloth to take out the steamer basket or the
internal pot as they will be hot.
Once you have finished using the cooker, press the On/Off button and disconnect the plug.
Advice
Depending on the type of rice you want you can adjust the cooking.
For softer rice add a little more water
For firmer, crunchy rice add a little less water
Also take into account the fact that brown rice (wholegrain) takes longer to cook than white rice
and requires a little more water.
After cooking allow the rice to rest for 15 minutes in the pot for the best results. This allows the
steam to finish the cooking process.
b) Using Your Steamer Basket
Pour water into the pot using the measuring glass supplied. Adjust the volume depending on
the quantity of food to be prepared. Do not put in more than 0.8 litres of water because the
water would be in contact with the steamer basket and therefore with the food.
Put the desired ingredient directly into the steamer basket. Make sure that the food is evenly
distributed in the basket to ensure cooking is even.
Close the lid and plug the machine in. Then press the On/Off button at the rear of your
machine. The "Maintien au chaud" (Keep Warm) indicator comes on. Push the lever downwards
to start cooking. The "Cuisson" (Cooking) indicator comes on.
When cooking has finished the cooker automatically goes to the "Keep Warm" mode. This
keeps the preparation warm after cooking has finished.
When you open the lid wear oven gloves or use a cloth to take out the steamer basket or the
internal pot as they will be hot.
Once you have finished using the cooker, press the On/Off button and disconnect the plug.
