Electrode welding process

Connecting the electrode cable
Connect the electrode cable to the minus 8 or plus 7
socket and secure the cable by turning it to the right.
Note the manufacturer information when
i
you select a suitable stick electrode. The
electrode diameter depends on the thick-
ness of the material to be welded.
Welding with positive (+) electrode:
connect the electrode holder to the positive pole con-
Ânector 7 and lock it by turning the plug clockwise.
Welding with negative (–) electrode:
connect the electrode holder to the negative pole
con- Ânector 8 and lock it by turning the plug clock-
wise.
Press the handle at the grip of the electrode holder.
ÂClamp the electrode with its blank end in the holder.
Consider when doing the notch at the inner side of
both blocks.

TIG welding process

Danger due to electric shock!
If function HF-ignition is selected, a high
ignition voltage is present at the torch.
Never touch the welding electrode or
parts conducting welding current when
the device is switched on.

When converting the torch to anotherelec-
trode diameter, please observe thefollow-
ing.
‰ The collet 53, collet body 51 and electrode 54 mus-
thave the same diameter.
‰ The gas nozzle 50 must be matched to the electrode
diameter.
Connecting the torch
Danger due to electric shock!
Only plug the torch control plug into the
socket 9. Do not connect other devices
to it, like re-lay-contacts of a automation
control or a manual push button. High
voltage of the HF ignition is always pre-
sent at this connector, even if no plug is
connected to it.
