2. Prescribed use

The Interface "KeyMatic® KM300RI" is an extension component of the doorlock
actuator "KeyMatic® KM300IQ+" and carries out the following functions:
a) Wired remote control
• It allows the control of the functions "Lock", "Unlock" and "Open door" via
cables. Hence, the doorlock actuator can be operated from a distance of up
to 100m (the remote-controlled open door function can be carried out from
a distance, from a reception for instance, the lock and unlock door, central
lock and unlock functions can be instantiated, etc.).
• The wired control eliminates possible radio interferences (e.g. emergency
opening function in case of radio interferences).
• Using keys from the normal house installation is possible.
• Manipulation-secure data transmission between interface and doorlock
actuator via a code change system, cable length 5m.
• No mains unit connection is necessary for this function, the power supply is
effected via the doorlock actuator.
b) Charging function of "KM300IQ+" via rechargeable
battery operation
• Buffering and recharging accumulators in the doorlock actuator is possible
via an external mains unit. The reliability of the system is thus increased,
through a constant power supply
• Special charging procedure tuned to the accumulators included in the
delivery for a longer running time. If it is necessary, the accumulators are
recharged automatically.
• Easily checkable charging signal at the doorlock actuator.
• Power supply via the mains unit included in the delivery (connection via a low
tension concave socket) or other mains unit, e.g. in-wall connector
(connection via screw clamps).
