b) Requirements of the place of installation
• The interface must be assembled in a protected, dry place inside the
building (or the locked area).
• The assembly place must be near a power socket or a mains unit mounted
into an in-wall connector.
• The assembly is effected via screwing either per on-wall mounting or in a
distributor casing or the like.
The assembly in a power distributor must be effected by a trained
and authorized specialist only. The relevant VDE regulations
must be observed. All connecting cables of the interface must be
installed at a distance of min. 8mm to voltage-carrying parts.
• When selecting the installation location, take into consideration the max.
cable length of 5 m between interface and doorlock actuator . The cable
included in the delivery must not be lengthened.
c) Installation
• Fasten the interfaced using the two fixing holes at the place of installation.
When drilling or tightening screws, be careful not to damage any
power supply lines, gas or water pipes! There might be danger of
life involved!
• Connect the three buttons (alternatively also relay outputs possible, breaking
capacity min. 5V/50mA) to the interface, according to the connection pattern
(see chapter 8.a). The connections which are not required are left open.

All three buttons have a common return conductor.
As connecting cable, any installation cable (e.g. NYM), switch cable, bell
wire etc. can be used.
Never use line cords! There is a risk of mix-up with voltage-
carrying installations!
