If you use shop-bought stain removers, follow the product manufacturer's
recommendations carefully.

We would remind you that, in general, stains treated immediately lift easily. However,
old stains that have been ironed or dried in a tumble drier may no longer be removable.
Preparing laundry for washing
•
White laundry must be separated from coloured
laundry.
•
Wash new laundry separately as this risks running
during the first wash.
•
Empty pockets and remove all foreign bodies
such as coins, safety pins, brooches, screws, etc.
These can cause major damage if they are left in
the laundry.
•
Do up zips and buttons on garments.
•
Place small items such as socks, belts etc. in a
washing net or pillowcase.
•
Only
wash
washable" or "wash by hand" using a suitable programme.
•
Wash trousers, T-shirts and jumpers inside out.
•
Remove curtain hooks (metal or plastic) before washing.
Appropriate load capacity
•
Do not overload your washing machine beyond the capacity of the programme and
laundry type.
•
When the appliance is overloaded, its washing performances decrease. Furthermore,
noise and vibrations may occur.
•
Be sure to comply with the maximum load recommended for each programme (See
Table of programmes).
Loading laundry
•
Open the door of your washing machine.
•
Place the unfolded laundry inside, item by item and without stacking, taking care to
distribute this evenly.
•
Push the door closed until you hear the lock clicks. Make sure there is no item trapped
in the door.
