Disassembling the pneumatic piston

Carry out the following operations:
Disconnect the air hose from the shear body (2).
Wear heavy-duty protective gloves, then close the blades (4-6) manually and insert the pin (10) as you
can see in the picture E.
Unlock the conrod (11) by removing its pin (9).
WARNING!
As soon as you free the conrod (11), it will automatically get back into the shear body (2), so it is
important to keep your hands at a distance.
Clamp the blade group (4-6) in the vice.
By means of a key turn the extension pole connection (15) anti-clockwise.
Remove the piston (11) and the spring (12). If it is necessary, replace the seal (13) unscrewing the nut
(14).
NOTE: To re-assemble the piston (11) carry out the above-mentioned operations in reverse order.
IMPORTANT!
In case of piston seal (13) replacement, while re-assembling lock the nut (14) by means of Loctite 270 or
similar.
7 DEMOLITION AND DISMANTLING OF COMPONENTS
7.1

Disposal of exhaust materials

After having been installed and while working, the machine does not cause any environment
pollution. In any case, all through its working life, some types of waste or exhaust materials are
produced in certain situations, such as the replacement of oil filling/top-up or filters.
There are specific regulations in every country as for the disposal of these materials and the
environment protection.
The Customer is compelled to know the Laws in force in his own country and to operate only while
complying with these regulations, according to the indications in the product technical charts, which
may be obtained from the Manufacturer.

The Laws in force about the disposal of mineral oils must be followed.
WARNING!
More information about the disposal of oils and other substances can be found in the safety chart of
the substances.
The steps employed in the disposal of toxic waste including the collecting, transporting, processing
(transformation for recycling), as well as the deposit and the dumping onto the ground are all usual
activities of common interest and are subjected to the following general principles:
a)
Any risks of injuries or dangers for the health and safety of any individual and of the
community have to be avoided.
b)
Compliance with any and all hygienic-sanitary requirement and avoidance of any air, water,
ground and underground pollution have to be guaranteed.
Compliance with efficient and economical principles in order to save and recycle energy and
materials shall be promoted.
