READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THE INSTRUMENT
n Put the instrument in a perfectly stable position (horizontal or at an angle on its fold-away
stand).
n Check that the needle is correctly set to the zero mark (mechanical adjustment screw at
the centre of the instrument).
n On resistance measurement, check that electrical zero is set (calibration potentiometer
next to Ω ranges).
n Make sure that the leads are connected in accordance with the polarity of the instrument.
n If the order of magnitude of the measurement is not known, place the switch on the
highest range then progressively lower the range to get a more precise measurement.
The reading must preferably be done in the upper 2/3 of the scale.
n A range is correctly selected only if the switch is placed exactly on this range.
n Clean the case with a soft cloth without solvant.
