4 Inserting a Lamp
The unit is supplied without a lamp.
One halogen lamp is required with the following
specifications: 24 V/250 W, lamp base GX 5,3 (e. g. the
lamp HLG-24/250MR or HLP-24/250L of the "img
Stage Line" product range). Never use a lamp with a
wattage higher than 250 W!
Important!
Always disconnect the mains plug before inserting or
removing the lamp!
As halogen lamps heat up very much during oper-
ation, let the lamp cool down after operation of the
unit (minimum cooling down time 15 minutes) before
replacing it.
1) Unscrew the lamp compartment cover (9) on the
lower side of the unit and take it off.
2) Slide the halogen lamp (11) into the support (10)
and push on the lamp connection (12) [see fig. 2].
3) Remount the cover plate of the lamp compartment
and tighten it with screws.
5 Mounting
1) Use a support for projectors or a stable mounting
screw to fix the unit via its mounting bracket (3) to
the desired location (e. g. to a traverse or to the
crossbar of a lighting stand).
Important!
To avoid a heat accumulation within the unit, the
mounting place must be selected so that sufficient
air circulation is ensured during operation. The air
vents of the housing must not be covered (e. g. by
curtains etc.).
Ensure in any case to keep a sufficient dis-
tance (0.5 m as a minimum) to easily inflammable
material or material sensitive to heat.
2) To align the unit, release the two setscrews (2) on
the mounting bracket, adjust the desired inclination
of the unit, and tighten the setscrews again.
6 Operation
1) For setting the unit into operation connect the plug
of the mains cable (5) to a mains socket (230 V~/
50 Hz). Thus, the unit is switched on: the different
light patterns start to rotate.
For a more convenient operation, it is recom-
mended to connect the unit to a mains socket which
can be switched on and off via a light switch.
2) Adjust the desired volume on the music system.
The unit is controlled by the music via its micro-
phone (1): the facet mirror (6) rotates to the rhythm
of the music.
