Auto OFF
Once it is disconnected from the circuit, the
multitester switches OFF automatically; the
display goes blank.
Live/neutral identification
Because of its great sensitivity, the multitester
detects live and neutral in a power point.
- Socket without earth. Insert the positive prod
(red) into the socket ; with the black prod in
the air. If the display lights it is live. If the
display remains unlit, it is the neutral.
- Socket with earth. By connecting the black
prod to the earth, and the other one to the
live or the neutral, the earth/live or earth/
neutral voltage is measured, without setting
off RCD's (consumption 1.4 mA at 380 V).

Additional 200mV DC range (Z = 1 MW )
It is possible to temporarily go below the mini-
mum voltage threshold of 600mV on DC. With
the CDA 104 disconnected from all circuits,
proceed as follows.
Press simultaneously the HOLD button and
the ohmmeter button ; the multitester sets to
DC voltage for approx 20 seconds :
- 200 mV DC range (0 to 199.9 mV)
- 2 V DC range (0.200 V to 1.999 V)
