4 AUTO POWER ON . This means :
AUTO ON for a voltage ³ 600 mV :
the display lights.
AUTO OFF for a voltage < 600mV :
the display goes blank.
5 AUTO DC/AC . This means :
Automatic recognition of a DC or AC voltage.
Automatic selection of the appropriate range.
6 Ohmmeter press button
Press the button :
Resistance measurement.
Continuity sound test for a resistance
£ 500 W ± 50 W .
NB : the buzzer also emits a beep each time
the multitester is switched ON or
OFF, and at each upward change of function
and range.
7 Clips for winding the lead.
8 Two stops with eyelet to attach the wrist sling.
9 Two tool-release screws. To dismantle the
lower half of the case to change the batteries.
10 Housing for the removable prod.
11 Slots to clip-in and protect the black prod.
2.2 FUNCTIONS SPECIFIC TO THE CDA 104

Volt test: red W light signals the presence of
a voltage on the ohmmeter.

HOLD : memory function.
One press on the HOLD button activates the
memory function: display of HOLD and hold
the measured value for 20 seconds.
NB : press the HOLD button once when the
CDA 104 is disconnected from a live circuit,
to set the multitester to the AC voltmeter
function for approx 20 seconds (see also p. 15).
III
: display backlighting
Automatic lighting of the display if the light
intensity is less than 50 lux (day light).
The photo-transistor located next to the
controls the back lighting.
