When the synchronisation signal from the "Master" MPM stops, the LED [Power] of the "Slave"
MPM stops flashing and remains on, but the high-voltage output of the "Slave" MPM remains
active as normal.
An MPM is set as "Master" by default. To set an MPM as Slave, dipswitch 3 must be switched
to the [ON] position. When the MPM is not used in Biphase mode, dipswitch 3 must be
switched to the [OFF] position. To switch dipswitch 3, the MPM cover must be temporarily
removed (Figure 3).
Connect both MPM power units as follows:
- Connect the Biphase master output of the "Master" MPM (I/O connector contact 2) to the
Biphase slave input of the "Slave" MPM (I/O connector contact 8)
- Connect the earth of the "Master" MPM and the "Slave" MPM to each other (I/O connector
contact 9 and/or 12). See appendix 1 for wiring diagrams

7 Commissioning and operation

- Switch on the mains voltage for the MPM or put the plug into the wall socket.
- Switch on the MPM by operating the on/off button.
-
Applicable only to MPM with remote control option (MPM-xxR): When the remote
high voltage on/off option is switched on, 10–30 V DC must be supplied to the
"High voltage on/off" input of the I/O connector (see also section 6 and
appendix 1).
