    GENERAL FEATURES ALCAD’s “2-WIRE PRO” application makes it possible for you to create a file on your PC containing all the information for the electronic directory of the entrance panel with keypad and TFT screen. You can then transfer all this information to the entrance panel itself using a USB memory stick (or pen drive).
  • Page 20 The installation process will then begin. Follow the on-screen instructions and choose the destination directory. To begin using the application, all you have to do is click on the “2-WIRE PRO” file located in Start > Programs > ALCAD > 2-WIRE PRO.

    DESCRIPTION OF “DWELLINGS” WINDOW (11) The “Dwellings” window allows you to create a dwellings tree where the structure of the installation is stored. This makes it possible to perform searches by dwelling from the entrance panel. If you do not wish to allow this function, it is not necessary to fill in this part. If you wish to allow this function, enable the option “Search for Dwelling”...
  • Page 25 DWELLINGS TREE The form that the dwellings tree takes will determine the nature of the user’s experience when searching for and calling a dwelling by using the “Search for dwelling” option from the entrance panel. You can create up to 3 levels to form the dwellings tree. Example: A door entry installation for a housing compound consists of one external point of entry and 2 inner buildings, each containing 4 dwellings.
  • Page 26 HOW TO CREATE A NEW ELEMENT ON THE DWELLINGS TREE To create a Level 1 element, select the “Dwellings” element by left-clicking on it with the mouse and pressing the Add button ( ). Next, type the name of the element that you wish to create in the text field (19) corresponding to Level 1.

    DESCRIPTION OF “RESIDENTS” WINDOW (12) In the “Residents” window, you can make a list of registers where the full names of the residents of the installation are stored. This makes it possible to perform searches by surname from the entrance panel. If you do not wish to allow this function, it is not necessary to fill in this part.   • Page 28 LIST OF RESIDENT REGISTERS The first names and surnames of the residents of the installation are stored in the list of resident registers. Each register consists of 2 first names and 2 surnames. Store the first names and surnames of persons who live in the same dwelling in a single register. Note: For a register to be valid, you must at least fill in the field “Surname 1”.

  • Page 30 LIST OF CODE REGISTERS The programming codes of telephones/monitors, the call codes and the door-opening codes pertaining to each dwelling are stored in the list of code registers. Each register consists of 3 codes pertaining to a single dwelling. The programming code is the internal code which the panel will send through the BUS connection to call the telephone/monitor in the dwelling.
