Disinfection
• Put all components into a disinfectant bath (for example Incidur, order no.
79 04 072, or Airkem 33, order no. 40 54 085). Follow the instructions for use
of the manufacturer. Excessive disinfectant concentration and too long
disinfection times can damage the filter apparatus set!
• Subsequently rinse with clean water and dry at a temperature of
o
maximal 60
C/140
WARNING!
If other disinfectants are used, make sure that they do not
damage plastic or rubber parts. Otherwise the mask becomes
untight.
Failure to follow this warning could lead to death or serious
injury from poisoning.
Notes on cleaning and disinfection of silicone masks
Silicone is prone to absorb cleaning agents and disinfectants. In case of repeated
cleaning or disinfection the agents can accumulate in the silicone. Skin irritations
when wearing the mask may be the result, therefore:
• Only use the agents listed above, they have been tested by independent
certification institutes.
• Limit the disinfection times, which are mentioned in the application instructions
of the cleaning agent, to a minimum.
• After cleaning and disinfection rinse each part thoroughly for 10 minutes under
running water.
