Set-Up and Connection

❐ Use the device only in enclosed rooms.
❐ Always place the device on a dry, fl at, fi rm, heat-resistant surface with suffi cient clearance
on all sides.
❐ Make sure it is not too close to other heat sources, e. g. stovetops or ovens, to avoid
damaging the device.
❐ Never set up the device in the vicinity of highly fl ammable materials (curtains, textiles,
etc.).
❐ In order to avoid electric shocks, do not use the device near water or other liquids.
❐ Never operate the device on a hob or in the vicinity of a gas source.
❐ Connect the device only to a properly installed plug socket with safety contacts. The plug
socket must also be readily accessible after connection. The mains voltage must match the
technical data for the device (see the "Technical Data" chapter).
❐ Make sure that the connected mains cable does not present a trip hazard. Do not allow
the cable to hang over the edge of tables or kitchen counters. Others may become caught
and pull the device down.
❐ Position the cable in such a way that it does not become squashed or bent and does not
come into contact with hot surfaces.
❐ Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, strong temperature fl uctuations,
direct sunlight or moisture.

Instructions for Use

❐ Always check the device for damage before putting it into operation. If the device, the
cable or the plug is visibly damaged, the device must not be used. Do not use the device if
it has malfunctioned or been dropped.
❐ If the device, the cable or the mains plug is defective, do not attempt to repair the device
yourself. In the event of any damage, contact our customer service department.
❐ Only use heat-resistant utensils to place and remove the food. Keep metal objects or oth-
er sharp objects away from the device. These objects could damage the non-stick coating
of the grill plates. We recommend the use of kitchen utensils made from wood or plastic.
❐ Do not place food that is still wrapped in cling fi lm or plastic bags on the grill plates.
❐ Never leave the device unsupervised during operation.
❐ Remove the mains plug from the mains socket
– when the device is not in use,
– if a fault occurs while the device is in operation,
– before you clean it.
❐ Always pull on the plug and never the cable to pull the mains plug out of the mains socket!
❐ Never immerse the device in water or other liquids. Ensure that the device, cable, or plug
do not fall into water or become wet. Should the device fall into water, switch off the
power supply immediately.
