3.4 ADJUSTING THE FLANGE/BACK-FOCUS
Adjusting the back-focus
- Mount the zoom with a PL mount checker on a projector.
- Position the projector at about 6 feet from the screen and make the best
focus at long focal length.
- Switch to short focal length. If the best focus is:
- between the screen and the zoom, you have to decrease the
thickness of the flange shim (18).
- behind the screen, you have to increase the thickness of
the flange shim (18).
Adjusting the thickness of the flange shim
To adjust the flange, you need to change the thickness of the flange
shim (18).
- Remove the mount (12) (see Replacing the mount p. 33).
- Remove the flange shim retaining screw (20).
- Modify the thickness of the flange shim:
- Take off one or several shims to decrease the thickness.
- Add one or several shims to increase the thickness.
- Screw the flange shim retaining screw (20) back on.
- Screw the mount (12) back on aligning the pin with the notch
of the PL mount.

3.4 RÉGLAGE DU TIRAGE
Vérifier le tirage
- Montez le zoom avec un vérificateur PL sur un projecteur.
- Positionnez le projecteur à environ 2 mètres de l'écran et effectuez la
meilleure mise au point possible en longue focale.
- Passez en courte focale, si la meilleure mise au point est :
- entre l'écran et le zoom, vous devez diminuer l'épaisseur
de la cale pelable (18).
- derrière l'écran, vous devez augmenter l'épaisseur
de la cale pelable (18).
Modifier l'épaisseur de la cale de tirage
Le réglage du tirage s'effectue par modification de l'épaisseur
de la cale pelable (18).
- Retirez la monture (12) (voir Changer la monture p. 33).
- Retirez la vis de la cale pelable (20).
- Modifiez l'épaisseur de la cale pelable :
- Enlevez une ou plusieurs rondelles pour diminuer l'épaisseur.
- Ajoutez une ou plusieurs rondelles pour augmenter l'épaisseur.
- Revissez la vis de la rondelle de tirage (20).
- Revissez la monture en alignant la goupille avec le cran de la monture PL.
