Extrusion

• Set up the unit as instructed in section 5.1.
Press and hold down the advance key (2) or (3) (depending on the desired speed
or function):
– Impression tray (2), normal extrusion speed with activated mixing p rogram
or
– Impression syringe (3), slow extrusion speed.
○ The mixer shaft is activated in order to allow the hexagonal end (13, fig 1)
to thread itself into the mixing nozzle.
The plungers advance at high speed until they reach the impression material.
○ Once the plungers' disc contact the impression material, the unit automatically switches to the
selected extrusion speed.
Fill the impression tray or impression syringe.
Release the advance key as soon as the desired amount of material has been extruded.
The plungers retract with a short relief stroke to prevent any additional impression material from being extruded.
The plungers will only move if the unit cover is closed.
The first 5 cm of impression material from a newly installed cartridge or from a previously used inserted
cartridge should be discarded.
Please note the impression material manufacturer's recommendations!
If the cartridge is emptied during an extrusion, the plungers automatically return to their home position so
that a new cartridge can be quickly installed to start a new extrusion process.

Fill Level Indicator and Remaining Amount

5.3.1

Fill Level Indicator

The fill level indicator (1) helps you to estimate the amount of impression material remaining
in the cartridge. However, after installing a new cartridge or if the cartridge is very full, the red
indicator will not be visible until the cartridge has started to be used.
5.3.2

Remaining Amount Detection

The Dynamix speed is equipped with an electronic fill level detection. Once there is only
s ufficient impression material remaining in a cartridge to fill approx. one casting spoon,
the yellow "Residual level" LED (5) goes on.
The indicator passes a residual level marking.

Cleaning / Maintenance

To clean the unit, wipe it down with a moist cloth.
Never use cleansers containing solvents.
6.1

Cleaning the Interior

– Cartridge bed (14, fig. 1):
With the plungers (9, fig. 1) retracted, the cartridge bed is easily accessible for cleaning.
– Plungers' disc (9, fig. 1) and spindle covers (10, fig. 1):
With the unit cover closed and without a cartridge inserted the pistons may be moved into
a position suitable for removing residues on the plungers' disc or the spindle covers.
NEVER clean the spindles (11, fig. 1) themselves. The grease applied to spindles is necessary for the unit's
proper function.
Tip:
Remnants of impression material are most easily removed with a dry cloth or paper towel.
6.2

Disinfection

Never use superheated steam for disinfection!
Use only appropriate disinfectants for disinfection. Please pay attention to the manufacturer's instructions
for the disinfectant used. If necessary, dry housing parts or exposed connectors after d isinfecting.
