car seat on side-facing or rear-facing car
seats (diag. 4).
WARNING! According to car accident statis-
tics, the rear seats of a car are generally safer
than the front seat: it is therefore recommend-
ed to fit the child car seat into the rear seats
of the car. In particular, the central rear seat
is the safest, if it is fitted with a 3-point safety
harness: in this event, it is recommended to
fit the child car seat into the central rear seat
of the car.
If the child car seat is fitted in the front seat
of the car, it is recommended to push the seat
back as much as possible, bearing in mind the
comfort of the passenger sitting in the seat
directly behind it and to adjust the backrest
in the most vertical position. If the car is
equipped with a safety belt height adjuster,
fix it in the lowest position, then check that
the car seat safety belt adjuster is either in a
backward position with respect to the backrest
of the car seat (or at least aligned to it)(see
diag. 5).
If the front seat is equipped with frontal air-
bag, it is recommended that you fit the child
car seat into this seat. If you wish to fit the
child car seat in any seat protected by air-
bag, always refer to the vehicle instructions
manual.
MAINTENANCE
The cleaning and maintenance operations
must only be carried out by an adult.
How to Clean the Fabric cover
The child car seat's fabric cover can be removed
and cleaned. Please refer to the care label for
instructions on cleaning the seat fabric.
Clean the fabric cover only with a sponge, neu-
tral detergent and water.
Never use abrasive detergents or solvents.
Do not spin the fabric cover, let it dry without
wringing.
The fabric cover can be replaced only with an-
other fabric cover approved by the manufac-
turer, because it is an integral part of the child
car seat and, therefore, it is a safety aspect.
WARNING! The child car seat must never be
used without the fabric cover: it could be dan-
gerous for your child.
How to Clean the Plastic Parts
Clean the plastic parts with a soft, damp cloth
or a neutral detergent.
Never use abrasive detergents or solvents.
The movable parts of the child car seat must
not be lubricated.
Checking the Condition of the
Components
It is recommended to check regularly the con-
dition of the following components to ensure
that they are not worn out:
• Fabric cover: Check that the padding does
not come out from the seams. Check the
condition of the seams: they must always
be integral.
• Plastic parts: Check that the plastic parts
are not worn out, damaged or faded.
CAUTION! If the child car seat is deformed or
worn out, it must be replaced: it may no longer
comply with the original safety standards.
Storing the Product
When it is not fitted into the car, it is rec-
ommended to store the child car seat in a
dry place, away from sources of heat and to
protect it from dust, humidity and direct sun-
light.

How to Fit the Child Car Seat into the Car
and Place the Child into the Child Car Seat.
Warning! These instructions and diagrams are
for the installation of the child car seat onto
the right rear seat. To fit the child car seat in
other positions, carry out the operations in the
same order.
1. Place the child car seat on the car seat, lean-
ing the backrest against the backrest of the
car's seat (diag. 6).
CAUTION! Check that the headrest of the car
seat does not interfere with the headrest of
the child car seat: it must not be pushed for-
ward (diag. 7). Should this happen, remove the
headrest of the car seat, on which the child car
seat will be fitted to, and remember to replace
the headrest back onto the car seat, when the
child car seat is removed, so that the car seat
can be used once more by a passenger. .
WARNING! The rear part of the child car seat
must fit perfectly to the car's seat (diag. 8).
2. Place the child into the child car seat, ensur-
ing that its back adheres correctly to the
backrest (diag. 9).
3. Check the height of the headrest and ad-
just if it is not correct: see the paragraph
"HOW TO ADJUST THE HEIGHT OF THE
HEADREST".
4. Check the width of the backrest, and adjust
it if necessary: see the paragraph "HOW TO
ADJUST THE WIDTH OF THE BACKREST".
5. Fasten the safety belt of the car, sliding the
horizontal part under the two armrests, in
the points highlighted in red, and the di-
agonal part under the armrest, located on
the side of the safety buckle (diag. 10).
6. Slide the diagonal part of the safety belt
through the red clamp (diag. 11).
7. Pull the diagonal part of the car seat belt
towards its retractor, ensuring that the
safety belt is well tensioned and that it
fits correctly to the child's abdomen and
legs. The safety belt must not be too tight!
(Diag. 12).
The child car seat is now fitted correctly
(diag. 13).
WARNING! Check that the safety belt of the
car is correctly tensioned.
WARNING! Check that the safety belt of the
car is not twisted (diag. 14).
WARNING! Check that the diagonal belt is fas-
tened correctly on the child's shoulder (diag.
15), and that it does not exercise pressure on
its neck; if necessary, lower the headrest.
WARNING! Check that the car seat safety belt
adjuster is either in a backward position with
respect to the backrest of the car seat (or at
least aligned to it)(see diag. 5).
WARNING! Never use the car safety belt in
any other positions that those indicated in this
instructions booklet! (diag. 16).
WARNING! Do not let your child slide forward
or downward.
