If the alternator is installed inside a soundproof unit, particular attention must be paid to ensure that the air flow cools properly

Checking the power rectifier (Figure 10) and the rotating diode bridge (Figure 11)
The checking of the individual diodes making up the rectifier bridge and of the diode bridge itself can be performed either with
an ohmmeter or with a battery and relative lamp. A diode is to be considered regularly working when:
- By an ohmmeter, it is verified that the resistance is very low in one direction and very high in the other.
- By a battery and lamp (suitable for the voltage of the battery), the lamp is switching ON only in one of the two possible
connections as shown in Figure 12: A = Lamp OFF, B = Lamp ON.
