A TOTAL TRACK inserted:
total number of titles on the CD or in the
folder selected
TOTAL TRACK not inserted (in the folder
selection mode; see item 5, button
FOLDER): total number of folders
B when TRACK is inserted above the digits:
number of the music title (in the folder
selected);
when FOLDER is inserted below the digits:
number of the folder selected
C insertion Auto-CUE: to indicate the single
title replay mode
D insertion CONTINUE: to indicate the con-
tinuous replay mode of the titles
E insertion ELAPSED: to indicate that the
time already played of a title is shown
F insertion TOTAL: to indicate together with
the insertion REMAIN (G) that the remain-
ing time of the CD is shown
(not possible in MP3 mode)
G insertion REMAIN: to indicate that the
remaining time of a title is shown. When
TOTAL REMAIN is inserted, the remaining
time of the CD is shown.
H insertion PROG: appears when a title
sequence has been programmed and
keeps flashing while a title sequence is
being programmed or replayed
I deviation from the standard speed in per-

J replay symbol
K pause symbol: to indicate a pause
L insertion CD: to indicate that the CD has
been selected
M insertion USB: to indicate that the USB port
(2) has been selected
N insertion CUE: appears when the CD / MP3
player is set to pause at the Cue point

chapters 5.4.1 and 5.8.2)
O In MP3 mode, this field shows if the title
name, the album name or the artist name
of the music title is indicated in the text line
(Q). If none of these indications is inserted,
the file name is shown (
P bar graph to indicate the relative playing
time of the title

S insertion RELOOP: to indicate replay of a
continuous loop
T number of beats per minute
U insertion MT (Master Tempo): to indicate
the function for constant pitch (

2 USB port to connect a USB flash drive or a
hard disk
3 Button CD / USB to switch between CD and
USP storage: For this, the CD/MP3 player
must be set to pause with the button
4 Control knob TRACK / TRIM
1. to select the title, when TRACK is inserted
above the digits (B):
To select the titles one after the other in for-
ward or reverse direction, turn the knob
clockwise or anticlockwise.
To select the titles in increments of 10,
keep the knob pressed while rotating it.
2. in MP3 mode: to select a folder when
FOLDER is inserted below the digits (B) [to
switch over, press the button FOLDER (5)]
Press the knob to go to the first title in the
folder selected. Then, the knob can again
be used for selecting titles.
3. to divide or multiply the title section of a
continuous loop
4. keep the button SINGLE/REM (21) pressed
to select the type of fader start via the jack
REMOTE (31)
5. keep the button TIME/SLEEP (20) pressed
to set the time after that the player goes to
sleep mode
6. to select a play list
7. to select a partition on a hard disk con-
nected (
5 Button FOLDER
1. in MP3 mode: to switch the knob TRACK /
TRIM (4) from title to folder selection
2. additionally, if a hard disk is connected: to
switch the knob TRACK/TRIM to partition
selection (
To return to track selection, keep the button
FOLDER pressed for 2 seconds until the
playing time (R) is inserted on the display.
6 Buttons CUE / LOOP 1 - 4:
On each button, a Cue point or a continuous
loop can be stored. To store the Cue point or
continuous loop, press the button MEMO (8)
first.
7 Button PROG to compile and replay your per-
sonal title sequence

1. to store Cue points or continuous loops
with the buttons CUE / LOOP 1 - 4 (6)
2. to multiply the track length or to set it to a
fraction of the beat length, keep the button
pressed and turn the jog wheel (12)
9 Button Relay
1. to activate/deactivate the relay mode
2. for the effects Flanger, Filter, Echo, Pan
and Chop: to select the effect parameter to
be adjusted
10 Button BRAKE to activate/deactivate the
start-up and brake function
To set the start-up and brake time (0.5 - 6 sec -
onds), keep the button pressed and turn the
jog wheel (12)

11 Button JOG MODE to select the functions
SCRATCH and SEARCH (fast forward/ re -
verse) for the jog wheel (12)
The LEDs above the button indicate the func-
tion selected.
