7. Positioning of the garden pump
• You may install and operate the garden pump on your property, e.g. near a well or rainwater tank.
• Place the garden pump on a flat, even, stable and sufficiently big surface. Protect sensitive surfaces with
a suitable padding against scratches, impact marks or leaking water.
Always operate the garden pump while it stands on its bottom side and not in any other position.
Never immerse the garden pump in water! Never install the garden pump in an area prone to
floods! This poses a risk of fatal electric shock!
• When outdoor temperatures reach ≤0 °C, water inside the pump starts freezing. In such a case, the
garden pump gets damaged beyond repair.
For that reason, always empty the garden pump in a timely manner. To do so, remove all hoses from the
garden pump. Empty the garden pump by unscrewing the cover on the bottom side. Store the garden
pump in a dry and frost-free indoor location (e.g. basement).
• Only use the handle on the top for moving/transporting the garden pump.
Never pull the mains cable or hoses for moving the pump. This could damage the mains cable.
This poses a risk of fatal electric shock!
8. Operation
• Turn off the garden pump (on/off switch at O position).
• Connect the suction hose to the suction hole. Use a suitable coarse filter and return stop at the end of
the suction hose.
• Fill the garden pump and the hose with clean water.
Fill the garden pump using the appropriate intake on the top. Thoroughly close the intake after
filling the pump, tightening the sealing plug.
Also check whether the sealing plug of the opening for emptying has been properly tightened.
• Connect the outlet to a suitable hose or, for example, to your garden irrigation system.
• Connect the mains plug to a proper isolated ground receptacle.
Make sure the mains plug is completely dry before connecting it to the mains. Never touch the
mains plug with moist or wet hands. This poses a risk of fatal electric shock!
