• Temperatures at the location of use must not reach or fall below freezing point. Otherwise there
is a risk that water freezes inside the product. Since frozen water has a higher volume than
liquid water, the product would get damaged beyond repair in such a case. During wintertime,
store the product at a dry, frost-protected place.
• When using an extension cord, such cord must feature a cross section not smaller than that of
the product's mains cable. Only use an extension cord with earth contact suitable for outdoor
use.
• Make sure all electrical plug-in connections are located in areas protected from flooding.
This poses a risk of fatal electric shock! If necessary, use suitable protective covers for all
connections.
• Protect the mains plug from moisture! Never touch the mains plug with wet hands! This poses
a risk of fatal electric shock!
• Protect the mains cable from cold/heat, oil/fuel and sharp edges. Do not step onto the mains
cable. Do not drive over it (e.g. with a wheelbarrow, bike or car). Never bend the mains cable.
Do not place any objects on the mains cable.
• The mains cable or mains plug must not be cut off.
c) Operation
• Children or teenagers must not operate the product. The same applies to persons that are not
familiar with the operating instructions. Persons with limited physical or mental capabilities
may only use the product, if they have been supervised or instructed by a person responsible
for their safety.
• Only clear, clean fresh water with a temperature of maximum +35 °C may be pumped.
• Use a coarse filter at the end of the suction hose. Use a return stop in addition, if drawing water
from a deep spring or deep container.
• The product is not suitable for pumping and supplying drinking water.
• The product is not suitable for pumping corrosive/corroding, inflammable or explosive liquids
(e.g. fuel, heating oil, cellulose thinners), fats, oils, salt water or sewage of sanitary facilities.
• The power socket which is connected to the product, must be easily accessible. The mains
cable must be guided downwards leading away from the wall socket, in order for any return
water at the cable not to enter the wall socket.
• Place the product on a flat, even, stable and sufficiently big surface. Protect sensitive surfaces
with a suitable padding against scratches, impact marks or leaking water.
The product must only be operated while standing on its bottom side and never in any other
position.
• The product is not protected against dry operation.
• The product must not be operated unsupervised.
• Do not run the product continuously.
• No persons must be present in the pumped liquid (water) during operation.
