10. Maintenance and cleaning

There are no user-serviceable parts inside the garden pump. Never open or dismantle the pump.
Maintenance or repair of the pump involving dismantling the garden pump must only be carried out by an
expert or specialist workshop.
Switch off the garden pump and then disconnect the mains plug from the wall socket before cleaning.
Use a clean, soft cloth for cleaning the exterior surface of the garden pump. Remove heavier staining using
a cloth slightly damped with lukewarm water.
Rinse the inside of the garden pump with clear water. Remove hoses and sealing plugs beforehand.
Thoroughly dry the garden pump and the mains cable after cleaning.
Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions as they
can cause damage to the housing and malfunctioning.

11. Elimination of malfunctions

This garden pump is a state-of-the-art product and safe to use. Nonetheless, errors and malfunctions may
occur. Therefore please note the following information on how to eliminate possible malfunctions.
Garden pump does not draw
• If there is a stopcock located on the pressure side, open it in order for any air inside the hose or garden
pump to escape.
• If necessary, fill the suction hose and garden pump with water.
• Switch the garden pump off and on again after a few seconds.
• Use a return stop at the end of the suction hose.
• Check the coarse filter at the end of the suction hose for impurities.
• Check the suction hose and all connectors for tightness.
• The water level is too low. The garden pump draws air only.
Garden pump does not start or stops during operation
• Make sure the garden pump has been switched on.
• Check the voltage supply or the electric circuit fuse and the FI switch. If the FI switch has been triggered,
disconnect the garden pump from the mains. Check if the garden pump has been damaged (e.g. mains
cable or housing).
• The pump wheel inside the garden pump is being blocked by dirt. Switch off the garden pump in such a
case. Then disconnect the mains plug from the wall socket. Remove the hoses and sealing plugs. Rinse
the inside of the garden pump with clear water.
