7. Placement of the Deep-Well Pump
• Attach a sufficiently strong, water-tight rope to the two suspension eyelets (2) to lower the deep-well
pump, e.g. into a well.
The deep-well pump must never be held or attached by the mains cable or the connection unit!
This may damage the cable; there is danger to life from electric shock! The deep-well pump also
must not be attached via the hose.
For the correct placement of the deep-well pump, observe the
adjacent drawing.
X1 = maximum submersion depth = 15 m
X2 = minimum submersion depth = 20 cm
X3 = minimum diameter = 11 cm
X4 = minimum distance from the floor = 1 m
• Fasten the rope to a suitable, stable holder. At a submersion depth in excess of 3 m, the mains cable must
be attached to the rope with suitable clips for reasons of safety.
Do not place the deep-well pump with its intake opening in the dirt, sludge or sand, since the
intake openings would clog. It may also lead to damage to the deep-well pump.
• Connect the hose used by you to the intake opening of the deep-well pump with a suitable connection
piece.
Never operate the deep-well pump without the hose connected.
• The connection unit (7) is splash-water protected. (IPX4) place it so that the operating elements are
easily accessible. The connection unit can be screwed on to a suitable location via attachment eyelets.
The connection unit must not be operated in or under water. This will not only damage the deep-
well pump, but also pose danger to life from electric shock!
