Portable Amplifier System
These operating instructions are intended for
users of the amplifier system (e . g . DJs, speakers
at public and private events) and do not require
any specific technical knowledge . Please read
the instructions carefully prior to operation and
keep them for later reference .
All control elements and connections de-
scribed can be found on the fold-out page 3 .

1 Applications

This active speaker system (model TXA-800,
TXA-800CD, or TXA-802CD) is a combination
of a 2-way speaker system and an amplifier with
connections for a microphone and an audio unit
with line output level, e . g . CD / MP3 player or
tape deck . Models TXA-8 . .CD are equipped with
a CD / MP3 player .
The unit can either be operated with 230 V
mains voltage or via the internal rechargeable
lead gel batteries to be charged with the in-
tegrated charger . Thus, the speaker system is
ideally suited for mobile applications, e . g . for
lectures or sales promotion .
Each model has a multifrequency receiver mod-
ule operating with diversity technique* in the
UHF range of 863 .1 – 864 .9 MHz . The frequency
range is divided into 16 channels to be selected
as desired . Model TXA-802CD is additionally
equipped with a second receiver module and
a transmitter module, both also operating in
the range of 863 .1 – 864 .9 MHz . The transmitter
module allows to feed the audio signal of the
speaker system to further active speaker systems
of the TXA-800 series or the TXA-1020 series by
wireless transmission (audio link mode) .
* Diversity technique: The transmitting signal is received
by two antennas and checked for its quality. The signal
of the highest quality will be used.
The following transmitters from the MONACOR
range are, for example, suitable for operation
with the active speaker systems of the TXA-800
series:
– TXA-800HSE
Multifrequency pocket transmitter with tie-clip
microphone and headband microphone
– TXA-800HT
Hand-held microphone with multifrequency
transmitter
– TXA-800ST
mains-operated multifrequency transmitter
