MAINTENANCE AND USE
• This device requires a regular check‐up to prevent physical injury. This means that bolts and nuts
should be frequently checked for cracks and sharp edges etc.
• Defective components must be replaced immediately. If this is not possible, the device must be put
out of order until the necessary repairs have been made.
• Clean only with a damp cloth, do not use solvent cleaners.
• This product is intended for use in clean, dry conditions. You should avoid storage in excessively cold
or damp places as this may lead to corrosion and other related problems.
Use of the chest belt (not included with model FRM8323P)
Use the chest belt to measure your heart rate while exercising. The chest belt has a sensor
that wirelessly transmits your heart rate to the computer. Before use slightly moisten the inside of the
chest belt with water. Place the sensor on your chest and check the elastic strap is tight enough to
ensure it remains in contact with your skin without obstructing your breathing.
The sensor in the chest belt transmits the heart rate direct to the computer. The maximum range of the
sensor is 85 cm. If the sensor is more than 85 cm removed from the computer, the signal will be too
weak to be received.Clean and dry the chest belt after use. If this is not done properly, the sensor may
remain switched on, as it senses moist or perspiration, resulting in empty batteries.
